Europe in the new world (dis)order

Come along Europabevægelsen for an opportunity to meet with top diplomats at The French Embassy in Copenhagen. We’ve been invited to an informal presentation & discussion with the French ambassador, Christophe Parisot and the German ambassador, Pascal Hector. The talk is moderated by Sinne Backs Conan, Executive Director of European Affairs at Finance Denmark and deputy chairman at Europabevægelsen.

Europe is faced with multiple crises: the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine has brought war back to Europe and is challenging the security of Europe on a wider scale. The war has also led to an imminent energy crisis threatening to leave Europeans with no heat and electricity over the winter as well as putting considerable economic stress on both companies and private households. Adding to this inflation has gone up dramatically in the EU and interest rates are hiking at rate not seen in decades. All of this will test the citizens as well as the political unity in Europe. How do we move forward in the short term and what will be the role of Europe in the new world order?

The talk is in English and takes place on the 17th of November at the French Embassy in Copenhagen.
