What does it mean to be young and build a life in a new country while your home country is at war? For young Ukrainians living in Denmark, finding your place in a new society can be shaped by much more than learning a language or adapting to a different culture. It can also mean living with uncertainty, distance from loved ones, concern for the people left behind, and questions about what the future holds.
In this event, we explore what it means to navigate youth, identity, and belonging while living between two countries and two realities. How do you create a sense of home in Denmark while remaining connected to Ukraine? How do you make plans for the future when so much remains uncertain? And how do you find your own path while carrying experiences that others around you may not fully understand?
Through personal reflections and open conversation, we will create space to explore the challenges of starting over, the strength it takes to build a new life, and the complex feelings of belonging to more than one place.
Join us for an honest and thoughtful conversation about identity, displacement, resilience, and what it means to find yourself when life takes an unexpected turn.
The event is planned in collaboration with Ukrainian Dialogues and European Youth Denmark.
It is free to participate, but registration is needed in order to get the webinar link.
